Not the way I’d like to spend my Thursday

I’m sitting in the ER waiting room, alone. My mom is in the ER tonight, currently in SVT. Its a heart rhythm issue where her heart goes into overdrive and it won’t slow back to normal. When she called the Doc, my pulse-oximeter said her heart rate was 200 bps. Not good. Compare that to my running max target heart rate of 164? Yikes! So, they are giving her an iv to get it back down.
Hopefully, it will get normal soon!
My poor mom. My dad works 2 hours away and isn’t home during the week…that’s a post for another day! And I’m the only one around. Time to take care of my mom.
