I’m a mess

So I fell UP the stairs yesterday morning. I was wearing heels and stepped just wrong and my foot slid off the step. I slammed my left knee into the stairs and land slightly easier on my right. My knees have some lovely bruises so does my ego. My left knee is kind of achy and sore in the bend of the knee.

Despite the pain, I still got up and hit the treadmill for my scheduled 4 miles. I’ve been in training for about 5 weeks now, and I wasn’t about to let this derail any of it! It felt ok while running.

Then, I decided to chance it, and wear a lower heel with my dress today.

Bad move, Melissa.

I almost fell DOWN the stairs outside my house this morning! I caught myself in time, but would totally bit it if I hadn’t. I also still wore the heels. My left knee has been aching all day and I have been hobbling around work. Eventually I just kicked off my shoes.

I joking said I wondered what the 3rd fall related thing would be.

I spoke too soon.

I nearly tripped over my Photographers camera gear! I again barely caught myself in time.

Lesson learned: I’m 5’9" for a reason; I shouldn’t try to be any taller by wearing heels. Also, how can I run ALL the miles and stay on my feet but simple things like stairs and walking turn me into a walking disaster?

Oy.
