My favorite part of today’s outfit? The unexpected pop of color from my brand new red pumps! I love love love them! They’ve gotten compliments from men and women alike. And they are fantastic.

In other news, I haven’t run yet today, and it may not happen. I’m more than a little upset about this.

My former college professor and I are pretty close and she and I are having dinner tomorrow night. I go to bed early–like 9pm early to get up to run around 5am. And she texted me at 10:30pm last night wondering where we should eat. Then she texted me again at 1am! I have to leave my phone on all the time for my job and so its really frustrating when people call or text in the middle of the night when its not important. 

Side note: My co-workers and I get texts from the local fire department whenever there is a working fire or major accident. (I’m in TV News)  Now, this isn’t something that happens everynight, but it does happen, so I have to leave my phone on just in case.

Tonight, I’m making dinner for a former News Producer intern who I became pretty close to. She is coming over right at 6pm and that is when I get home. I guess I should embrace an unexpected rest day.
