So the entire conversation with your dentist that starts with “Melissa, relax, I just want to put my tool in your mouth” and ends with “…and now spit” has multiple meanings?

The funny thing is, my very first trip to see this dentist about 6 years ago I had to go in for an emergency filling. He said to me as he was pushing the filling into my tooth: “Let me know if I’m nailing you too hard.”

I had no words for him. No words at all. As his hands were in my mouth (twss!) and it was numb (twss again!) I simply grunted something and blushed.

Oh my.
