Thursday Things

·I have a pretty massive toothache. I am fairly sure that my crown is coming off, which would explain why I can’t seem to get this pain under control. I go to the Dentist in about 3 hours. I can’t wait! Seriously, fix me dude.

·I took 2 of the leftover Tylenol #3 (with Codeine) that I have from the last time I had a tooth infection to try and get on top of the pain. Well, I STILL felt the effects of it about 13 hours later! I had a really tough time waking up and I felt out of it for much of the morning.

·That mirror is in my office area. Pretty much all of the women can see into it just fine…except for me. The struggle!

·I think about a lot of random stuff during the day when I’m just being quiet. One of those things is that they have female inmates do the cleaning here (I work in the State Office Building). And I was thinking about how different our lives are: their power to make their own decisions is gone. They have to wear terrible gray uniforms. Their jobs are simply to clean bathrooms and kitchen areas. They all appear to be about 2-3 days post shower. Whatever past choices they made in their lives to bring them here are their own. I just am glad that I haven’t made the same ones!

·Earlier this week I got a special Valentine from one of our office’s on the western side of the state. They sent it to me because they said that I was doing such a great job on the employee homepage and with the newsletter. I am doing a feature called “Employee Fun Facts” where people tell things they make or do in their spare time. I LOVE random facts and employees have embraced it! Made my day!
