Tagged by the lovely @this-incredible-journey to show you what is in front of me this morning.
My work desk is kinda messy, don’t judge! Also, I spy Zito! That’s the calendar @a-yogi-who-wods made this year. It’s pretty cute.
I’m tagging @runningforbiscuits @breatherunlive and @amanda-healthyhappywhole to show what’s in front of them!

@martinisandcoffee and @morningmiles I swear I’m not picky! But as someone who writes for a living, it’s hard to read that kind of thing over and over!
Context: my roomie has been promoted to the main anchor at my former news station. She is very excited to work with the male anchor. She used thee in a post referring to him. Now others are doing the same. It’s a silly thing to be annoyed by. But, time left on the microwave also bugs me, so there’s that!

Melissa’s grammar complaint of the day

When people actually write out “THEE” when they are talking about someone that they want to emphasize.

For example: “I get to work with THEE Joe Smith.”

No. Just don’t. It’s used in pronunciation, not in spelling. I see what you’re doing, and I don’t like it. That word is the archaic version of you. Not the way to emphasize “the” when you’re writing something. I’m just saying.

Thank you, and goodnight.

April Fool’s Day Plans

So it is a tradition to do April Fool’s Day posts on our internal employee homepage. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I came up with a couple of good ideas.

I wrote a piece about the therapy dog Envy going on strike until she gets more belly rubs and better treats. People LOVE that dog. So much. So I’m pretty sure that they will laugh about that one. Her handlers came through with those awesome signs and that photo. Her expression in that picture KILLS me!

I then wrote a piece about how you have to speak into the card security scanner to get into the building instead of scanning your card. When they clicked a link for more, they get Rick Roll’d. I was pretty proud of myself!

The CEO gave me the okay…which I saw AFTER I went home for the day! 🙂

I was pleased. It wasn’t too much work and I think it’s funny! Have a good one friends!

And then there was just @TrivialBob

I have replies.

Tumblr is saving the best for last. Obviously.

This really sucks because not only can I not post any replies I can’t see any of the replies that others are posting. I’m sitting in the corner, facing away from everyone.

Sameeee!! 😦 😦 😦

Still no replies here either.

Still none here either. Booo
