Ok, I feel the need to post this list. And when I do the actual list of matching people up, I will tag people. But, we are a ways from that.
BUT, I keep fearing I am going to miss someone. Yesterday a Tumblr commented on a post and I happened to see the push notification, but the comment wasn’t anywhere…on the post or in my activity feed at all. Oh. Tumblr
So, since I don’t always see the push notifications and Tumblr can be a black hole…I thought I would post the names and if you don’t see yours and it should be on here, just let me know!! Or if you would prefer to be on a different “list”. Secondhand, specific country, etc. just let me know.
And we are at 84 participants! 🙂
Regular Tumblr Hoody Exchange
US only Hoody Exchange
Canada only Hoody Exchange
Secondhand Hoody Exchange
Signal boost again in case you don’t follow Kari (you should… you’re missing out…) – here’s the list. Review it to make sure you are where you want to be!
Oh hi friends!
I feel like we haven’t talked for awhile. Between travelling to the Twin Cities and work being crazy (We’re at 41 days to go until our conference in Chicago in November!) and life just generally being busy, I haven’t had time to write. Let’s catch up, shall we?
Work is good. My membership goal for 2015 is 890 institutions. As of today I’m at 888. So close. So very close. We should hit goal by next week at the latest I think. Also, I haven’t had to move offices! Fingers crossed that won’t happen at all!!
After about 4 months of putting myself (and my fitness) last, I’m back on the exercise train, running and walking, I’m making good food choices (it is so much easier to eat healthy when you are only cooking/feeding yourself!) and working out most days a week. My friend and I are going to the gym tonight to lift.
Eating better and moving more really does work. I’m down 3 pounds since Monday of the 15 I want/need to lose.
I’m still not ready to date-however I was at the grocery store the other night and a VERY good looking gentleman and I kept catching eyes. He came and walked right behind me. It made me happy to know that I’m healing. 3.5 weeks post-break up and I’m definitely in a MUCH better place than I was only a few weeks ago.
Back by popular demand! Ok…that might be a stretch, but I’m going with it 😉
@marathonmelissa mentioned it to me….I had thought about it before….and now it is a go. 😛
You can click here to see the post from last year with all the links to everyone’s hoodies!! I will admit, it was really quite fun to see what everyone got.
We are keeping it basic again this year:
Comment, message, send an owl to let me know that you want in the exchange.
On the evening of October 31st, I will throw the names in a random generator and match people up. (so you will buy for the same person you are getting one from)
November will be hoody month. I want to see ALL the posts of hoodies in November. Get em bought and shipped out. Then everyone will be nice and cozy come December 😉
Additional notes:
Zip up or pullover. Talk with your person and see what they like.
Price. Use your best judgment. Don’t be cheap, but don’t go crazy. Or you can figure it out between the two of you if you like.
If you DO NOT want to ship internationally, let me know. If you use USPS, it really isn’t bad $, but I understand if you want to avoid that.
Get creative!! Get to know your person a bit and see what floats their boat.
Make sure to tell your person what you do NOT like.
POST AND TAG when you get your hoody #THE2015. A lot of the fun is seeing what everybody gets 🙂
The Hoody Exchange is back! Let’s all do it!
Trust the timing of your life. Stay patient, stay calm, stay determined, stay focused, and most of all trust your journey.
To all my fierce ladies here and offline too. May we know these women, and may we be these women.
“O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.”
From “October” by Robert Frost (at University of Nebraska-Lincoln)
