11 Questions

The awesome Rich at keepgoinggreen tagged me in this on Friday. I tend to fly off the radar on weekends so I’m catching up today!

Here goes nothing!

1.  What is the best concert you have ever been to? Hands down, Justin Timberlake the FutureSex/LoveSounds Tour back in the day. I had floor seats about 10 feet away from JT himself. I died.

2.  Do you play a musical instrument?  (Or did you as a kid)? I played French Horn and Trumpet. I hated both with a passion. So I quit after 2.5 years.

3.  Let’s talk about ceilings for a minute.  Would you rather have a Ceiling that Can’t Hold ya or be Dancing’ on the Ceiling? This is a funny story with Rich and I after I edited a music video to the first song I HATE that song! However, I’d rather dance on the ceiling!

4.  Farm Aid or Band Aid? Band-Aid. Feed the World!!!

5.  Who is one band or musician that you have never seen perform live but you wish you could?  (they can be dead or alive) Hmm… I feel like it would be pretty amazing to see the original Beatles perform live.

6.  Lollapalooza, Coachella, Bonnaroo or Glastenbury? Since IDK what the last two are…I guess Lollapalooza?

7.  If you had to pick one genre of world music to listen to non-stop for a month which would you pick and why?  (And by world music I mean something that is not part of your current daily culture on the radio where you live). I think J-Pop. I feel like that type of music would be similar to things that I currently listen to now.

8.  Would you rather:  Not be able to Feel Your Face or not be able to Fight This Feeling Anymore? Not be able to fight this feeling. Sometimes you just gotta give in! 😉

9.  What is your current favorite band or musician? That’s hard to narrow down, JT for always, but if you mean music that is out currently, I like a lot of Jason DeRulo songs.

10.  Do you listen to music while working out, running, etc?  If so what kind and is that different than what you listen to while you are not being active? Yes. I run to a lot of pop music, but also there are some show tunes mixed in there. I listen to the same stuff when I run as when I don’t.

11.  Ask yourself your own music related question and include the answer.

Favorite guilty pleasure music? I listen to Christmas music starting in November. No Shame. No shame at all. 😉

This was fun, Thanks Rich!

Questions, Questions

I was tagged by the lovely Corinne at breatherunlive to do this. These are good questions, lady!!

Rule #1: Always post the rules.

Rule #2: Answer the 11 questions the person who tagged you wrote, then write 11 new ones.

Rule #3: Tag 11 new people

  1. If you could only watch one movie director for the rest of time who would it be and why? Hmm, Probably Stanley Donen–of “Singin’ in the Rain” “7 Brides for 7 Brothers” and “Funny Face” Fame. I’m a real big fan of musicals, can you tell??
  2. What is the number one item on your bucket list? It has been checked off–Run a Marathon. Did that in Chicago in 2012. One and done, baby. Number 2 was pilot an airplane. I did that in 2012 as well.
  3. How did you decide your tumblr name and if you’ve changed it, why? I like the alliteration of the M’s. I honestly never thought I would actually run a full marathon–but, I did!!
  4. If you could meet one deceased historical figure (NOT a celebrity) who would it be and why? Is it cliche to say Jesus? Talk about about a fascinating person! As a Christian that would be the ultimate.
  5. What is your favorite word? effervescent. It sounds like what it means-bubbly!
  6. What is your least favorite word? Any word that is overused: currently “piece and process”. A simple rule of Journalism that has stuck with me is this: “Once said, word dead.” I pick up on overused words all the time. They drive me crazy.
  7. What is your first memory? I can remember a little bit of our first big family vacation to the Black Hills in South Dakota when I was 6, in 1988. I have memories of this big lodge (it seemed HUGE) and stuffed wildlife.
  8. What is your most essential piece of clothing? Why? I think it would have to be jeans. You can dress them up or down, you can make them into ankle pants or capris…there are a lot of possibilities!
  9. What was your least favorite subject in school? Math. Ugh. The worst.
  10. If you could go back to school what would you major in? (Pick something other than your current major/career! Don’t be boring!) If I could go back I would go into Finance. I know, I just said I hate math. But if I could better understand money and investing, that would be awesome!
  11. If you had a choice between being able to continue your favorite activity (i.e. cycling, running, knitting… whatever) or being able to continue to use your cellphone (in other words, you cannot have both), which would you choose? Why? I would choose to keep running. I did just fine without a cell phone for the first 19 years of my life–I’m sure I could figure out how to survive without it! 🙂
