I have trouble falling asleep too.
I’m glad I’m not alone Stef, but it sucks doesn’t it?!!

Why does he call you? Why doesn’t he just call roomie directly?
He did call her, but her phone was on silent. They know mine isn’t because I’m the Senior Producer (and management). Also my boss is on vacation, so I’m in charge!

Have you had a sleep study done?
I haven’t, I should look into that. But I think I wouldn’t sleep there either, because I have an even harder time falling asleep in a bed that’s not mine.

There with ya, takes about 1hr for me to sleep, all the time. Nyquil aids and all…
Why can’t we sleep? Seriously? What is going on???

Notes from the Run

Today and yesterday were pretty perfect running weather; low 50’s, sunny, light breeze. So I hurried home from work and set out for some miles.

Tuesday I did 4. An out and back from my house down the busiest street.
Fun fact about Melissa: I don’t really like to run on trails. Lincoln has miles and miles of gorgeous trails but I prefer to run in neighborhoods. I like to look at homes and architecture as I run. I also like knowing there is traffic and people so no one can try to steal me. (I know, I’m weird.)

Today, I mapped a new route and headed out for 5 miles. 5.25 later I was home. I made the discovery that I live in a very hilly part of town. On one part of the downhill run I was running a 7:45/mile! Sweet!

I haven’t been able to run consistently outside for awhile so its been great to do it. I want to run 10-12 miles for my long run on Saturday. Its supposed to be 70 degrees and pretty perfect.

Oh yes, and to answer some replies to recent posts…

Melanie-I think I must attract bugs! I killed a weird looking one in the bathroom tonight and a spider in my living room as well! The valve problem must have something to do with it! 🙂

Ashley-I’ve never ‘met’ anyone else with bicuspid aortic valve! Glad we’re both doing well!

Josh-I DO have unlimited data! I have an old verizon plan from when they bought Alltel (anybody even heard of that company?) and I have unlimited data from that. I’ve never thought about using the home and work wifi.

Also-I have a date Friday with the texter—he was a good guy in person so I’m giving him another chance. I will keep you all posted.

Happy hump day friends! 🙂
