Friday Five!
The #Blessed edition.
- I had to license and register my car this morning. $1,637.21 later…it’s all taken care of. That hurt. Real bad. Nebraska property tax is something ridiculous like 8%. That’s part of why I didn’t want a new car, the cost for licensing it is INSANE! However, I had $1000 from my credit union and $644.77 from an old savings account that I closed. I juuuuust covered the cost with a few bucks to spare!
- My co-worker called me on my way to the DMV, to tell me we had a 9am staff meeting (previously unannounced) I told her I’d be there asap–more like 9:30. So I may have sped a bit on my way back.
- ….Then I got pulled over after a cop shot me with his radar gun. When I asked how fast I was going he said that he couldn’t tell me or he’d have to give me a ticket. I took that to mean he wasn’t going to. (Either that or he didn’t know how fast I was going!) HE ONLY GAVE ME A WARNING AND TOLD ME TO SLOW DOWN. I’m a lucky, lucky girl. I was likely doing 45 in a 30! My co-worker was ticketed for doing 40 in a 35!!
- It is Friday. I get to sleep in this weekend.
- I don’t have too many things planned this weekend-My 5 year old nephew’s t-ball game, and the Dog Splash Sunday night. Rio LOVES swimming and playing with other dogs. Win-Win.
