Despite not being allowed to exercise AT ALL until tomorrow at the earliest (what kind of birthday present is that?! On my birthday Wednesday I MIGHT get to run?? I NEED to. I’m going crazy!) I’m very pleased with this body. I’ve pretty much stayed the same in terms of weight but that’s ok. My health comes first. I ate a fair amount of red meat in the past few days. More than I usually eat. So the fact that this is what I look like on my last day of being 33? I’m definitely good with that!

Here’s to making good (food) choices!

One week of @clevcrew’s food plan. Two weeks of lifting weights consistently. Five weeks of training runs. And this is where I’m at. This dress hugs every curve and makes me feel like a million bucks. It also helps that it is gorgeous here and I’m going with bare legs for the first time this season! This outfit is an NSV indeed!

I had my first check in last night with Sabrina. I honestly felt like I had not had any changes from the first photos I sent her. But that, my friends, is why you send in photos. I’m not going to put them here…I’m not comfortable with you guys seeing in me in a bikini yet…but, like the awesome coach she is, she pointed out what I couldn’t see: I’m starting to shrink in places. My thighs are where it’s coming off the fastest and I’m very happy about that. I’m also down 3 pounds. Small steps are just a part of the whole process.

I told Sab that I couldn’t stomach any more scrambled eggs so we switched up my plan and she gave me some advice on how to cook egg whites with my oats. I’m happy to report that the changes work great for me so far.

So I’m doing a thing

I’ve seen all your success with @clevcrew and after much hesitation and delaying on my part, I FINALLY signed up last week. I started my meal plan on Monday and so far, so good. I’m not hungry. If anything, it almost seems like too much food! It’s very filling with so many more veggies than I’m used to eating at one meal. I’ve eaten some stinky food this week; salmon with Brussel sprouts! Sorry guys! I’m also drinking so much water I feel like I’m going to float away. I know that this will all be worth it!

Breakfast is a struggle for me…as I need to wake up first before I want to eat very much. So, I solved the problem: I eat a little bit at home then take my oatmeal to work and eat it there after about an hour. It works. The one thing I miss? CHOCOLATE!!! My co-worker brought in this tray of candy and put it next to my office so every time I leave my desk I go by it. I’m remaining strong. I will NOT have any of them. I’m not going to cheat myself. I have about 15 pounds I want to lose and I know that with Sabrina’s help I will make it happen!

I also started lifting weights last week. The Firefighter has been on my case for weeks not to “just run” and I’m finally listening to him. He found me a plan and I’ve been following it. I’m hoping that Sab’s plan for me will be more tailored to what I want to accomplish than this one is, but the fact is, I’m FINALLY lifting weights again.

So…dating….

As you’ve guessed I’m still seeing the Firefighter. He made me dinner last week. It was fun. He’s a great cook! But I know he’s seeing other girls and I’m seeing other guys. So that feels a little odd sometimes. But I’m just seeing what’s out there. I’ve also made plans to have dates with a couple of other guys as well. This dating around thing is kinda exhausting!!

This past weekend it was 76 degrees here. It was pretty perfect. I was a fan! Today it is 29 degrees. Tomorrow? The 60’s! This is why I love Nebraska. If you don’t like the weather, wait 20 minutes, it will change.

Fun fact: I’m the voice of the DHHS Nursing Helpline. If you call in with any problems, you will be greeted by my voice and that script. I LOVE that stuff! In fact, I could put that number here…if you guys want to call it and hear what I sound like?!?!?

Brooke @two-o-nine and I were facetimeing last night and somehow got on the topic of S Club 7. Do you remember them? They had this great song “Never had a dream come true” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOvTzpJDZfc I LOVED that song!
