Former Huskers and NFL players Eric Warfield and Jay Foreman and I.

The one on the left got a picture on his phone of the 3 of us as well. 😉 I still got it! The one on the right’s hand brushed my butt twice after the pictures!

Yup, still got it! 😉

When I told them I remember watching them play in the mid 90’s, the one told me there was no way I was old enough! Love that!

This may be the coolest Spring Game touchdown ever! The boy in the video has cancer and the Husker football team has adopted him as one of their own.

This gives me goosebumps and restores my faith in humanity.

Busy, busy

Can I have a weekend from my weekend?  It was a good weekend, all in all. Friday night after my movie date with myself I went out with some of my friends. We ended up having a good time. When we got to the bar, my friend R and I were standing waiting for our other friend to get money out of the ATM when I saw 2 olderish guys (late 30’s?) approaching us. They both touched me on the arms, and told us that they thought we looked “fun.” And that they thought we were fun. When the guy asked who was the more fun one, I told him R was. Because upon closer inspection these guys were closer to 50 than 30. We told them we were going to meet our friends, and they said that they “would watch us.” Kinda creepy.

Friday night was fun, got to see a friend I haven’t seen for awhile and meet her new bf. Then Saturday I got up and went for a run. Nothing big, just a good run. Then I went to work and produced our Husker post game show. I was out by 7pm.

Sunday was AWESOME! I went to see the Broadway musical “Jersey Boys”. It was AMAZING!!!! I didn’t want it to be over! So good. We had fabulous seats too: they covered the orchestra pit and put 2 rows there, and we were in the second row on the orchestra pit. We could see the sweat run down their faces! Such a good show! Also, on the way up to Omaha for the show, I got a 45 minute nap in. The last time I took a nap was January of 2010 when I came home from Hawaii and fell asleep in the car on the way home from the airport. It was the best nap ever! I felt so refreshed afterwards.

So next week, the Nebraska-Wisconsin game is on ABC, 7pm telecast. I’m guessing its a national broadcast. I get to work that day too.

I got up this morning and went for a run. Sadly, it was too dark for me to feel comfortable running outside, so I treadmill-ed it. 3.25 miles, 10:54 pace. Not too shabby. It was a pretty great run. One of those where everything is working in concert. I was happy. Good way to start the day!

Anywho, have a great day friends!

Scenes from a busy weekend.

I got up early on Saturday and went on a run. I have learned my lesson: I can’t eat much before running. I fought a stomach cramp most of the run. It was not pretty. That afternoon I went tailgating with friends before the Husker game! We had a good time. I’m pictured with a co-worker and his old roomie. They are ridiculously buff! I went to the game with another friend. We had a good time. Sunday, Lincoln had an airshow featuring the Blue Angels. I took my parents, as my dad loves history, especially world war II history. We had fun. My TV station gave us VIP passes and so we got to go to the VIP tent, had awesome parking and free food. On the downside, I ended up getting a pretty wicked sunburn, despite putting on sunscreen. My arms, neck and legs are so sore!

Hope you all have a great week!

Today was a pretty great day! 5k run at 7am (on a Saturday! gasp!) farmer’s market, lunch with my mom, shopping, and a massage! I had some NSV’s too! I tried on (and fit into!) a pair of size 8 jeans! Yeah baby! I didn’t buy them, they were 80 bucks! But knowing I can wear them did wonders for my self esteem!

My mom and I made a day out of it, by shopping and hanging out.

I bought some new Husker gear, (season starts next week!! Go Big Red!!)

Then we went and got Mani/Pedi’s–my toes are red with white ‘N’s on them–for the Huskers! Die hard fan here people!  🙂 BTW- the OPI name for the color red that I randomly chose? “The Thrill of Brazil”. I swear to you I did not choose that because of The Man From Brazil. It just happened! Honest.

I’ve had a pretty great Saturday, hoping the rest of the weekend is much of the same!

On the other hand, I worry for my friends on the East Coast! Stay safe!!
