Guys, I genuinely adore @running-matt. He’s the best. Seriously. Skype dates with him are some of my favorite times of the week. We talk about stupid stuff, I try to mimic his Scottish accent (I’m actually rubbish at it!) We make fun of each other and he’ll let me take screenshots of us both yawning with our mouths wide open. He’s pretty cool.

After we hung up because it was nearly 2am to Matt! I did my hair because I’m heading out to karaoke with some friends from the ocho and my new job tonight. I’m pretty excited.

This week has markedly improved since Monday. I’m pretty happy about that. Hope you all have a great weekend friends!

Wednesday Things

  • Lower humidity and cooler temperatures made for a pretty fantastic run this morning. The struggle to get out of bed is still happening, but I’m working on it. I’ve ran each morning before work so far this week. Baby steps.
  • I came into work gushing about how gorgeous it is outside (sunshine, cooler, etc) and how great my run was. 
  • Mornings like this make me all giddy. Endorphins. Go get some.
  • Lessons I’ve learned: Rio is not a good running partner in the morning. She’s too sleepy to want to run at 6am. She flat out refused to go with me this morning. So we run in the evenings. This way I’m doing 2-a-days. So that’s good, I guess?!
  • I’m going shopping at the mall after work. 50-60% off sales at all the stores means I at least need to go look, right?? 🙂

It’s my Friday!

  • I’m having a really good hair day. Also I’m wearing green pants. And I have a 3 day weekend. It’s a good day! <insert praise hands emoji here>
  • We had a good thunderstorm last night. There’s just something so soothing about those. I woke up discovered the tree in my front yard has bloomed. Yay spring!
  • The world is small, but Lincoln is smaller. Case in point: during my commute this morning I was stopped at a red light in downtown Lincoln, just minding my own business when a I heard a horn honk. I thought they wanted me to go, but the light was still red. Instead, I looked over and in the car next to me was lindsaydoeslife! She was on her way to work as well! In the 9 months I’ve been at this job I’ve never seen her during my commute. Good stuff. Oh yeah, Linds, your left taillight is out! 🙂
  • My massage last night was fantastic. My legs feel great today! I have 6 Tempo miles tonight to test them out. 
  • I’m making Lincoln Half Marathon plans with runningfortheriesling today. I get to finally meet Sam and see two-o-nine and funhappylife2 and meet her hubby lifekicksback NEXT MONTH!! I’m a happy girl!!
  • I’m also heading to Phoenix for a work conference in the middle of May so this-incredible-journey and I are making plans to finally meet too! 
  • And I get to have lunch with a-yogi-who-wods next week as he makes his way back across the country??!? So many Tumblr Meetups are ahead of me!!  

I should really settle down and try to get some work done on this fake Friday of mine! Have a great one friends!!
