To the mother of all mothers. The woman who defined my life. Thank you for understanding, being patient, guiding, teaching, caring and protecting me. But most of all loving me. Happy Mother’s Day to you mom. You are the greatest mom a son could have.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. I thought it was beautifully written and expressed EXACTLY how I feel too. (Even though I’m not a son!)

Happy mothers day to my wonderful momma. That’s her and I, when I was 2 years old. Love you mom! Thanks for being mine!

Fun fact about Melissa: I was born with a full head of hair, and then lost it all at 6 weeks old. I didn’t get any hair until I was about 2 and a half years old! I wore a lot of hats and bonnets!
